How to Set Up Valheim Server#

Here is a guide on how to set up your Valheim server using the HardGaming website. If you have not already set up a HardGaming account, you will need to do that before you can set up your server.

1. Navigate to the HardGaming website:

   HardGaming.tech

   

2. Select "Game Hosting" from the left side panel:

   

3. Select the Valheim tile:

   

4. Choose a plan:

   • Starter plan: for players who plan to enjoy the game solo.
   • Premium plan: for players who plan to play with a team.
   • Custom plan: for players who want a more personalized plan.

   

5. Configure your server:

   • Name your server

     

   • Configuration Settings

     Setting	Description
     Server Password	Set the password required to join the server
     World Name	Set the name of the world, which is also used as the save file name
     Public Server	Toggle on to make your server visible in the public server list
     Auto Update	Toggle on to automatically update your server on start
     Enable Crossplay	Toggle on to enable crossplay support
     Backup Interval	Set how often the world will save, in seconds
     Backup Count	Set how many backup copies to keep
     Backup Shorttime	Set the interval in seconds between short-term (frequent) backups
     Backup Longtime	Set the interval in seconds between long-term (less frequent) backups

     

   • Once your settings are configured, press the "Next" button. Don't worry, you can change these later.

6. Select Payment Method

   • Enter a new payment method

   • Or select a previously saved card

   • If you have a coupon, add it before submitting payment. Select "Apply Coupon Code", enter your code, and select "Submit" to apply it.

   • Once your card information is filled in, select "Submit Secure Payment"
